On Friday night at approximately 8:35 Officer Kevin Ohnheiser was running radar in the 1600 block of North Treadaway Boulevard and observed a motorist speeding. Officer Kevin Pyeatt and his K-9 assisted in this traffic stop. While issuing traffic citations to the male motorist, the K-9 alerted on the vehicle for the odor of narcotics. Investigation revealed that a substance that tested positive as cocaine was found inside the vehicle. The male suspect was arrested for possession of controlled substance; to wit cocaine.

On Sunday evening at approximately 5:14 Officer Chris Lazirko was dispatched to a drunken driver call. Officer Lazirko located a female suspect in the 600 block of South Leggett Drive. The female suspect was located sitting in a parking lot and the officer observed that the suspect was intoxicated. Nobody involved in the call was willing to take custody of the suspect. She was arrested for public intoxication. During the booking process, Officer Lazirko continued his investigation and determined that the suspect had identified herself with her sister's name. A check for warrants was conducted and the suspect was found to have three probation warrants. She was also charged with failure to identify and booked-in on her warrants.

Just after midnight this morning, Officer Chris Volirakis was dispatched to the 1300 block of Kirkwood Street for a noise violation. Officer Volirakis attempted to contact a male suspect and the suspect fled on foot. Officers gave chase and the suspect was placed into custody after a short foot-chase. The suspect was seen throwing a handgun during the chase. The investigation revealed that the suspect had a parole violation warrant. The suspect was arrested for his warrant and for evading arrest. No other charges have been filed at this time.
