APD: Drunken Man Busted Trying to Climb Woman's Fence with Beer in Hand

Last night at approximately 6:17 Officer Jacob Weise was dispatched to a suspicious person call in the 4000 block of Russell Avenue. The calling party observed the suspect attempting to climb her fence and then fall in the alleyway. Officer Weise contacted a male suspect that he observed to be very intoxicated and in possession of beer. The suspect was arrested for public intoxication.

Last night at approximately 8:07 Officers were dispatched to a disturbance in-progress call in the 2000 block of Shelton Street. Officers contacted two males at the residence. A preliminary investigation revealed that a male suspect was intoxicated and had attempted to assault a victim with a knife. Officer Jonathan Merrick arrested the suspect for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

Last night at approximately 10:52 Officer Brandon Scott contacted a male motorist in the 5200 block of South Seventh Street for a traffic violation. Officer Kevin Pyeatt and his K-9 assisted in this traffic stop. The K-9 alerted on the vehicle for the odor of narcotics. The investigation revealed that a small quantity of marijuana was located inside the vehicle and the driver was arrested for possession of marijuana.
