Abilene Businesses Feeling Effects of Spring Break

By: Natalie Ferrari
Updated: March 13, 2012
In the midst of Spring Break, a number of business are feeling both the positive and negative effects of the popular week of vacation.

While a few local attractions such as the Abilene Zoo and PrimeTime have noticed a significant boom in their numbers so far this week, not everyone is as excited about the changes.

The north Abilene Blue Taco restaurant by Hardin-Simmons has already noticed the scarcity of college students in the area, which has made business during lunch time a little slower than usual.

On the positive side, business is far from suffering during the break since many local regulars have still been visiting the restaurant.
