An Abilene woman is struggling after she said several medications were stolen from her bedroom.

Rebecca Steward said she got home from running errands last Thursday to find her room ransacked.

"Looked over, noticed my pill bottle was gone," Steward said.

After a quick check around the house, she found all of her TV's and other expensive equipment untouched, but several of her medications missing. Steward suffers from several illnesses, including more than one type of cancer.

"I can barely struggle to even afford my meds," she said.

Now Steward will have to wait to get many of the medications refilled. However, she said the hardest part of the whole ordeal is it all happened while her mother, who also has cancer and Alzheimer's, was sitting right there.

"I'm getting to the point where if people can do people like this, I don't care," she said.

Steward also reported a cell phone was stolen from the home. No arrests have been made in connection with the break-in.
