APD: Woman Arrested for Assaulting Her Mother

Last night at approximately 10:41 Officer Brandon Scott observed a motorist perform a burnout (brake stand) with his vehicle and he contacted the driver in the 2900 block of Catclaw Drive. Officer Scott observed and detected indicators of intoxication during his investigation. The male suspect was given standard field sobriety tests which he failed. The suspect was arrested for driving while intoxicated and later provided breathalyzer samples which showed his blood-alcohol content to be 0.103 and 0.098.
This morning at approximately 2:47 Officer Jesus Villarreal was dispatched to a disturbance in-progress at a residence in the 1000 block of South Clack Street. The calling party had called APD and advised that she had been assaulted by her daughter. Officer Villarreal arrived on the scene and observed two females involved in a verbal and physical altercation. His investigation revealed that a female suspect had assaulted her mother and that the victim had visible injuries from the alleged assault. The female suspect was arrested for assault family violence.
