There's dancing in the halls of Greendale Community College when "Community" returns to NBC tonight.

"Community" has been off the air since December, and concern over that absence sent the show's loyal following into an internet frenzy to ensure its return.

"It's nice to have the groundswell of love and know that we're doing something interesting and fun," says Yvette Nicole Brown, aka "Shirley".

The cast is downright animated about it.

A trio of animated webisodes celebrate the show's return.

As if that weren't enough, Greendale's flamboyant Dean Pelton stirred attention at the Academy Awards last month.

After Angelina Jolie flashed some leg on stage actor Jim Rash did the same when he accepted the Adapted Screenplay Oscar for "The Descendants".

"I saw her pose and I thought, 'You know what, we have exactly the same legs'. It was a loving tribute," he later said.

And the kind of buzz generator that might bring new viewers to the critically praised, but ratings challenged, series.

With "Community" returning "30 Rock" slides to 8:30 and "Parks and Recreation" takes a few weeks
off before returning to finish its season later in the spring.
