Car Burglars Strike Snyder

Snyder police are investigating several vehicle burglaries reported in the same vicinity Thursday morning.

The face plate of a car stereo was taken in the 4500 block of Galveston Ave., and two purses were reported stolen from vehicles -- one in the 4700 block of El Paso Ave. and one in the 3000 block of Crockett Ave. Another vehicle was broken into in the 4500 block of El Paso Ave.

Police Chief Terry Luecke said that two stolen bicycles were recovered near the area where the burglaries occurred. He said that the bike thefts and burglaries are all possibly connected. The case remains under investigation.
