Facebook Community Sounds Off on Discovery of Human Remains

The Big Country has been whipped into a frenzy since the discovery of human remains on Tuesday afternoon.

Although there has been no confirmation of the identity of the remains, many people have speculated that they could belong to Hailey Dunn, who went missing from Colorado City in late December 2010.

Mixed emotions abound from Facebook users, some of which just want closure and justice for the family, and others who cling to hope that Hailey is alive.

"I hope it's not Hailey, there is still hope she is out there somewhere safe, but even if it is not her it is someone who is being missed, I just pray for the family of whoever it is to have peace and closure," writes Kelley June Gregston.

Kathy Anderson-Powers writes, "Closure and justice. Of course none of us hope Hailey is deceased, but a 13-year-old girl with national coverage and a reward just disappears off the face of the planet with no trace. If this is Hailey, let her get a proper burial and goodbye and let's proceed with finding some real answers."

Concerned for the rest of the community, Grace Harrison says, "As much as I pray Hailey is alive I would hate for this body to be someone else and another tragedy and mystery for another family. In this case if it is Hailey we finally found her and maybe we can get justice for her. Our community needs closure as well as the family."
