APD: Man Arrested After Trying to Pawn Stolen Property

Yesterday just before 6:00 p.m., Officer Chris Bisbee responded to a shoplifter call at a business located in the 4300 block of Buffalo Gap Road. A female suspect had been escorted back into the business for alleged theft of merchandise. Officer Bisbee's investigation revealed that the suspect had hidden merchandise valued at approximately $88.00 dollars and left the store without paying for it. The suspect was arrested and found to be in possession of several items of drug paraphernalia. The suspect was arrested for theft and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Early this morning at approximately 12:25, officers were dispatched to a disturbance in-progress call at a business in the 3400 block of South Clack Street. While responding to the scene of the disturbance, Officer Ed Cutbirth learned that a possible involved party had fled the scene where an alleged fight had occurred. He located a male subject matching the description of the man that fled. The man was located in the 2900 block of South 32nd Street and Officer Cutbirth detected that the man was intoxicated. There were also indicators that the man had been involved in a physical altercation. The man was arrested for public intoxication. Officers at the scene of the disturbance discovered that a window to a vehicle had been smashed and a report was taken for criminal mischief. That investigation continues.
