A call came in around 11:40 on Tuesday to the Coleman County Sheriff's Department regarding three dogs that had escaped a homeowner's fence and were allegedly threatening a Novice School employee.
When the Sheriff's department arrived they discovered two dogs that had been shot and upon further investigation found a third one.
All three dogs died at the scene.
The Novice School employee reportedly retrieved a single shot .22 rifle from his truck when he discovered the dogs were out and on the school grounds.
The three dogs were reportedly owned by a Cortney Phillips of Novice.
At this time the incident is under investigation by the Coleman Sheriff's Department.
