The congressman met with children at the Abilene Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. for the "Promise to Remember Me" campaign.
The foundation is the leading global organization focused on type-1 diabetes research.
They asked the congressman to help pass a bill that would allow additional research on finding better therapies for diabetes patients.
