Visitors packed the Paramount Theater for the final night of Abilene Idol.
The final fifteen made their way on stage to sing in front of a panel of judges, one of which was a previous American Idol contestant.
Chorus Abilene organized the event as their main fundraiser for the year.
Over five hundred atendees texted in their votes.
Abilene Idol Representative, Kim Melnyk said "We started out on March 3rd at the mall and we had over one hundred contestants and we narrowed it down to fifteen. You just cant believe the talent."
At the end of the night, the idol was chosen.
Coming in third place was Paige Sproles, a student at Cooper High School.
Ben Fifield won second.
The winner of Abilene Idol was Debbie Vanadore. Vanadore sings at Pioneer Drive Baptist Church.
