A man charged with killing an Abilene toddler is going to prison.

Franklin Edward Ramey, Jr. pleaded guilty to murder charges in the death of 2-year-old Hayden Vickers.

Ramey is the former boyfriend of the child's mother, and was sentenced to 30 years in prison after he pleaded guilty to the charges in Taylor County's 104th State District Court.

Another trial on the same charges ended last fall when a Taylor County jury could not reach a verdict.
