Renewed public interest into the case of missing Colorado City teen Hailey Dunn has sparked new efforts to find her.

"We're going to start hitting the ground running again. We've got to bring this girl home. It's been almost 15 months, and that's too long for any child to be out there," said volunteer Kristy Lloyd, who has followed the case closely since Hailey went missing in December 2010.

Human remains found in Big Spring last Tuesday started wide speculation they could have been Hailey's. Authorities announced Friday the bones were determined to be those of a male, but the news has attracted local and national attention for Hailey's case.

"I'm so thankful that she was able to get back in the media," Lloyd said.

"This is the first time that we've seen national coverage in a year for our Hailey. So we already have a vigil planned for this coming Saturday," said Stacie Campbell, a volunteer with the Hope for Hailey group.

Those planning to attend the vigil said they hope coming together in Hailey's name will help ease the pain of everyone missing her.

"Friends, family, people she never knew or that never met Hailey. I mean, she's touched a lot of lives," Lloyd said.

The vigil will take place Saturday, March 31st at 7:00 p.m. at 1804 Chestnut St. in Colorado City.
