The process to replace Sweetwater Head Coach Craig Slaughter, who resigned on Monday, began Tuesday.

Superintendent Terry Pittman said the job was posted Tuesday morning and there was already a lot of interest. The school is hoping to hire someone with head coaching experience, but Pittman said it was not an Absolute requirement.

He said they were looking for the right guy but they would like to have one in place pretty quickly.

"We are looking for the right guy," he said. "But we are also on a fast track to get someone in place. We want to get someone in place by the end of April."

The new coach takes over for Slaughter who is leaving Sweetwater for the same job in Llano. The Mustangs have missed the playoffs 3 years in a row.
