NEW ORLEANS, La. - The USTFCCCA released Preseason National Team Computer Rankings for the 2012 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field season on Wednesday and McMurry University's men's team has been picked in the No. 3 spot.

The War Hawk men finished third at the 2011 outdoor national championship meet. This season, the McM men own a total of 19 rankings - 17 individuals and two relay teams - among the top-20 on the various performance lists for the outdoor events.

The men's ranking is headed by UW-La Crosse (185.30) who is ever-so slightly ahead of in-state and in-conference rival UW-Oshkosh (185.12). UW-La Crosse was the 2011 runners-up. 2011 defending national champion North Central (Ill.) College (130.95) is ranked fourth behind McMurry (165.63).

The American Southwest Conference was rated fourth in the men's conference index.
