Jury Clears Defendant Of All Charges in Injury to a Child Case

A jury found Jeffrey Grund, the man accused of breaking into his former girlfriend's home and hitting her two-year-old with a beer bottle, not guilty on all charges Wednesday evening.
The jury came down with the decision after deliberating for about three hours. Grund was charged with injury to a child and burglary of a habitation for the alleged incident.
"I was very confident. Only reason I'm so confident is because I just tell the truth. That's all I did. I've been telling the truth. I've been telling the truth since the get go, so I haven't really been worried about the truth, I was more worried on the lines of them misinterpreting what was said in the courtroom," Grund said as he left the Taylor County Courthouse.
If convicted, he would have faced up to twenty years in prison.
