Updated: March 29, 2012
The Taylor County Republican Party Headquarters hosted a meet-and-greet this morning for a Texas Railroad Commissioner candidate.

Christi Craddick was in town to meet with local Republicans and discuss her candidacy for Texas Railroad Commissioner.

Craddick says she is a lifelong conservative who brings experience working in the oil and gas industry to the office.

"One of the main goals of my campaign is to make sure we continue creating jobs in this state," she says. "The oil and gas industry is about 20 percent of the economy in this state so it is important."

Christi is the daughter of the former speaker of the Texas House of Representatives, Tom Craddick.
