The two men injured in the fire in north Abilene remain in critical condition today at a local hospital.

Ambulance attendants rushed Earl and Matthew O'Conner to Hendrick Medical Center after firefighters carried them out of the burning house near West Lake Road.

A hospital spokesperson told KTAB this morning that both men are still listed in critical condition from breathing in the noxious smoke from the fire.

The fire victims are a 66-year-old man and his 23-year-old son.
