Honor Society Returns to Madison Middle School After 27 Year Absence

It is the only middle school to have a National Junior Honor Society in the Abilene Independent School District. Until it started a chapter this year, Madison had not had a NJHS since 1985, but with new leadership and a vision that changed.
"Sometimes it's the kids that are never ever in trouble. They seem to fall through the cracks. So this helps us to celebrate the kids who are always doing the right thing," said Faculty Advisor, Brenda Merrill.
The Madison chapter already has several service projects in the Abilene community planned for the year.
