Sunday Night was the home, and season opener for the and there was no shortage of pageantry before the game including, introductions of announcers, Mascots, the Dance Team, and of course elaborate entrances by the players.
The Hammerheads were not messing around though as on the first play of the game Oscar Rasshan hit Nathaniel Dunn for the touchdown and just like that it was 7-0 Corpus Christi.
But the Ruff Riders would respond as King Anderson scored from a yard out and they were tied at 7.
Even though this game is all about offense check out the Ruff Rider defense on 4th down as The Hammerheads are turned away near the goal line. And the fans were impressed.
Then Abilene took advantage, as Larry Dockery hit L'juan Edwards samed into the wall, but thats the beauty of the game. The Ruff Riders went on top 13-7 with an impressive celebration dance.
In the end the Ruff Riders open their season with a 55-49 win over the Hammerheads.
