Ranger Police say 52 year old William McCoy died on impact after being hit by a train on Main Street at around ten thirty at night.

Police say there were two witnesses that told them they saw McCoy walk directly onto the tracks onto the oncoming train while the cross stops were down.

Ranger chief of police James Elliot says the investigation is still ongoing and the cause has yet to be ruled as a suicide.
