Father, Son Injured in Fire Remain in Hospital

The two men injured in a north Abilene mobile home fire are still in the hospital.

A spokesman at Hendrick Medical Center this morning reported that Matthew O'Conner is still in critical condition.

Earl O'Connor's condition has been upgraded to fair.

The two men were pulled out of their burning mobile home last Thursday by firefighters, who say they were injured by the noxious smoke.

Their home was destroyed.
