Some fast-moving thunderstorms brought brief heavy rain and small hail to some areas of the Big Country.

There were several brief waves of thunderstorms, some including reports of pea-sized hailstones in south Abilene.

The first happened early this morning, then there was another brief, but heavy thunderstorm with small hail just before 8:00 when a lot of people were on the way to work and school.

There are no reports of significant damage, as the hailstones were probably too small to damage cars or roofs.

There were some reports of larger hailstones in the Heartland and the eastern part of the Big Country.
