In just a few months, Downtown Abilene will get a makeover themed after the famous Dr. Seuss, all to promote literature and the power of the imagination.

"We are raising money to commission our own Cat In The Hat," explains Lynn Barnett with Abilene Cultural Affairs, "we wanted to keep a part of the festival forever."

During the month of June, all of your favorite Dr. Seuss characters, from the Lorax to the Grinch, can be seen Downtown. The event will also feature retrospectives from the entire life's work of Dr. Seuss.
