Global Samaritan Resources will spend the next two days collecting as much as they can in cleanup supplies, before they travel to devastated neighborhoods to deliver them this Friday.
"I was on the phone today with guys in south Dallas, in Lancaster and guys in Arlington. We will decide who needs the most immediate help and where they can use what we have for them in the truck," Says Sims.
They stress than organization is key to providing the best relief in these cases. The rebuilding process will take months, and this wont be the last time Global Samaritans heads to the Metroplex.
"Eventually we will take long term needs as well. But right now, what we need is the cleanup supplies. Things that people can use to get the debris taken care of," Sims Said.
Global Samaritans is looking for the following donations:
Large buckets/Wheel barrels
Shovels
Work Gloves
Cleaning supplies
Face Masks
Protective goggles
Gift cards from home improvement stores
Monetary donations
Located at 2047 North 1st Street in Abilene
Open 8am-5pm.
