Kristin was born in Burbank California. When she was seven, her family moved to Louisburg, KS. After high school, Kristin attended Boston University, and graduated in three years with a degree in Broadcast Journalism and a concentration in Art History.
She fell into journalism by accident. When signing up for her classes freshman year in high school, Kristin's mom persuaded her to sign up for a journalism course. Even though she didn't want to take the class, it only took a couple months for her to fall in love with journalism.
Kristin's very first job was at the age of 13, as an unpaid photojournalist intern for the local paper. She went on to work with the Kansas City Star, BUTV10 and interned at the New England Sports Network and Travel Channel Int.
Outside of her love for hard-news and telling stories, Kristin loves to travel, including two study abroad semesters in London. She also enjoys the arts, watching Boston and KU sports and reading as many books as possible.
