Basketball Smiles, founded by KTAB's Sam Nichols 13 years ago brings basketball to underprivileged children in developing countries.

The organization has conducted clinics around the globe, in places like Russia and Africa.

The organization not only provides basketball instruction, but hopes to build young disadvantaged youth and provide them with valuable life lessons.

Sam Nichols said,  "To see young people looking beyond themselves, looking beyond their own community to help others that they'll never meet, never interact with but still responding to a need, that shows great leadership for the  young men and women here at Clyde."
