LAWTON, Okla. -- ACU senior Brianna Fowlkes hit a three-run home run Friday afternoon to break open a tie game and Caitlyn Crain did the heavy lifting in the pitcher's circle as the Wildcats capped their three-game Lone Star Conference softball series with a 5-1 win over Cameron at Cameron Field.

The win pushes the Wildcats 25-10 overall and 11-6 in the LSC, while the Aggies fall to 15-24 and 6-12.  ACU will be back in action Tuesday night with a home LSC doubleheader against  nationally ranked Angelo State at Wells Field.

Cameron scored its only run of the game in the bottom of the first, and that lead held until the top of the fourth when the Wildcats got a run on an Erin Gilliland RBI single.

The Wildcats then put the game in the win column in the top of the sixth, thanks to Fowlkes.  With one out, Kim Briggs and went to second on a single by Courtney Flanary.  After Megan Brigance struck out for the second out, Fowlkes blasted a three-run home run to make it 4-1.

ACU added one more run in the seventh when Lyndi Smith led off with a double, went to second on a single by Keanna Winkfield and scored on an RBI groundout by Madison Buckley.

Crain - who picked up the win in the first game of the series on Thursday - went seven complete innings and allowed just five hits and no walks while striking out a pair of Aggies.
