This is the 12th time the AFD has put on the hunt for the children in the community. Kids are invited to ride the fire trucks through downtown to the park, where thousands of eggs awaited them.
The fire department does this every year as a gift to the community.
"It's a way for us to give back to the community," said Chief Kyle Tischler. "So we just want to offer some fun and excitement for the kids."
The fire department purchased all seven thousand eggs for today's Easter egg hunt. However, it only took minutes for the kids to find all of them.
