A Breckenridge man was caught following a burglary earlier last week.

Breckenridge Police Department officers arrested Charles Strickland after he had reportedly broken into a vehicle and stolen a loaded .270 rifle and some binoculars.

BPD Sgt. Jeff Baker saw items at a residence that matched the description of the stolen goods.

Strickland was also found in connection with a rash of break-ins on the eastern side of Breckenridge. Several vehicles were burglarized but no items were reportedly stolen.

BPD officer John Green also assisted with the Strickland case.
