On Friday evening at approximately 11:05, officers with the Street Crimes Unit were approached by a male subject and offered to sell them drugs. This male subject went back to a vehicle where another male subject was seen conducting hand-to-hand transactions. Officers attempted to contact the man making these transactions but the man ran as officers approached and identified themselves. The subject kept running after being ordered to stop and was finally arrested in an alley near the 500 block of Pine Street. The subject dropped a package when he ran and the investigation revealed the package to contain cocaine. It was also discovered that the subject had an active probation warrant. The man was arrested for his warrant and for manufacture/delivery of a controlled substance.

On Sunday evening at approximately 8:55, Officer Andrew Valdez and other officers were dispatched to a disturbance call at a residence in the 1700 block of North Sixth Street. A concerned citizen had reported an altercation between two people. Officer Jimmy Woods assisted on the call and contacted a male subject walking away from the vicinity of the residence. Officer Valdez's investigation revealed that the male subject had contacted a female at her residence and that a protective order against the subject was in effect for the female resident. The male subject was arrested for violation of protective order.

Last night at approximately midnight, Officer Brandon Scott was dispatched to a disturbance call at a business in the 200 block of North Judge Ely Boulevard. Officer Scott arrived on scene and learned that a male suspect was allegedly assaulting a female nearby. As soon as Officer Scott saw the suspect, he observed the suspect strike the victim and he immediately arrested the suspect. He also learned that the victim and suspect were in a dating relationship and that the suspect appeared heavily intoxicated. Further investigation revealed that the suspect had a felony warrant for possession of cocaine. The suspect was arrested for his warrant, assault family violence, and for public intoxication.
