Abilene police captured a man on drug-dealing charges after he allegedly tried to sell drugs to undercover officers.

Members of the police department's Street Crimes Unit say Darius Bacchus approached them with an offer to sell illegal drugs.

The officers accompanied the man back to a vehicle where the illegal sales were reportedly happening.

Police say Bacchus ran from the officers and tossed away a package of cocaine. After he was apprehended, officers discovered that he was also wanted for allegedly violating the terms of probation.

Bacchus turns 20 years old today.
