$13k in Drill Bits Stolen from Local Company

By: Victor Sotelo
Updated: April 10, 2012
A drilling company in Abilene had thousands of dollars in drill bits stolen Monday night.

MCG Drilling on East Highway 80 says someone got into the property by cutting a hole in the back part of the fence that surrounds the property.

Once inside they took seven used drill bits valued at about $13,000.

An employee says it would have taken more than one person to do the job, and that they have plans to install surveillance cameras in the near future.
