Calling Card Scam Hits Local Convenience Store

A clerk at the new Stripes on Industrial Boulevard was recently scammed.

According to the police report, a caller impersonating someone from corporate headquarters asked for pin numbers for calling cards over the phone.

Before she figured it was a scam, she gave the caller close to $400 in pin numbers.
