Feliz wins duel in first Major League start

ARLINGTON -- Neftali Feliz pitched seven scoreless innings in his first Major League start and the Rangers held on for a 1-0 victory over the Mariners at Rangers Ballpark in Arlington on Tuesday night.
Feliz, who has made 154 relief appearances in the big leagues, is only the third Rangers pitcher to ever throw at least seven scoreless innings in his first big league start. Brian Sikorski pitched seven scoreless against the Yankees in 2000 and Steve Comer threw a shutout against the Orioles in 1978.
