Abilene Receives $3 Million in Sales Tax Allocation Payments for April

Abilene has received another increase in sales and use tax allocation for April.

According to the Texas Comptroller's City Sales and Use Tax Comparison Summary Report, Abilene has received a net payment of $3.06 million, a 20 percent increase from the same month last year.

That represents a positive change of 22.36 percent for 2012 compared to 2011 thus far. Abilene has seen $14.4 million in allocation payments compared to $11.77 million this time last year.
