 Around 1,000 Abilene residents took steps to fight heart disease, Saturday morning. They gathered at Nelson Park to take part in the second annual Heartwalk sponsored by Abilene Regional Medical Center. Groups from the community and individuals walked three miles this morning to raise both money and awareness for heart related illnesses. Volunteer's said they were hoping to raise close to 140 thousand dollars through Heartwalk.
