It seems burglars are getting more creative in figuring out how to take things that aren't theirs.

"They only took some of the bigger tools that were here," said David Martinez of Abilene Transmission.

Abilene Transmission on South 1st near Mockingbird was broken into.

"That flat steel that is standing up there is what was stolen," said J.B. Mauldin of Cisco College.

Cisco College on Industrial off of the loop also suffered.

In both cases burglars did more than just open a door or break in a window.

At Abilene Transmission they took about 4,000 dollars worth of tools.

The burglars got out by cutting the razor wire on the back fence.

And at Cisco College the maintenance manager says burglars took the fence off of its hinges, and took two metal plates worth over 400 dollars each.

But the strange part is that the gate was put back on the hinges.

In both cases, victims say it had to take than one person to commit the crime. Both victims say they are adding extra security and have filed police reports.
