Abilene Regional Airport Discuss American Eagle Cuts

By: Gina Benitez and Stetson Samuel
Updated: April 11, 2012
Abilene Regional Airport addressed American Eagle cuts on Wednesday.

American Airlines announced just over two months ago that the company planned on making 13,000 cuts across the board.

So far, no cuts have been announced for Abilene's airport.

Officials with Abilene Regional assure that none of the 400 plus employees have been laid off but they aren't certain of what the future holds.

Airport officials say this issue will be monitored very closely.

Officials also added that local restaurant "Sweet Celebrations" should be open in the Airport by the end of next week or the following week.
