'Taste of Sweetwater' Sees Decrease in Funds Raised

By: Josh Berry
Updated: April 12, 2012
The Sweetwater SNAP program has counted up the money raised during Taste of Sweetwater, and it's not quite as much as they had hoped.

The annual event usually raises about $5,000 but this year they raised slightly more than $3,500.

The Senior Nutrition and Activities Program, which hosts the event, still has sponsorship money coming in but says it won't be nearly enough to cover all expenses.

The event brought in about 100 fewer people than last year.
