Updated: April 12, 2012
LUBBOCK, Texas - Texas Tech head coaches Billy Gillispie and Kristy Curry along with athletics director Kirby Hocutt will be part of the 2012 Red Raider Club Tailgate Tour that travels to Midland on April 25 while Tommy Tuberville will join the group at the Abilene event on April 26.  Offensive coordinator Neal Brown and new defensive coordinator Art Kaufman will take Tuberville's place at the Midland event.

"The Tailgate Tour celebrates being a Red Raider," said Amy McBride, Associate Athletics Director/Red Raider Club.  "The funds generated from this tour benefit the Red Raider Scholarship Fund which is vital to the success of our student-athletes, but the connections that are built through these events between fans and our staff are equally as valuable.  We all look forward to meeting with other Red Raider fans and hope to have big turnouts at each event."

Midland and Abilene are home to two of the largest population areas for Texas Tech alumni in West Texas and the Tailgate Tour is the perfect opportunity for fans to interact with the Red Raiders.

The Midland event will get underway at 11:15 a.m. on April 25 at the Midland Center, located at 105 N. Main Street.  The festivities will continue the following day (April 26) in Abilene at 11:15 a.m. inside the Abilene Civic Center Foyer, located at 1100 N. Sixth Street.

Individual tickets are priced at $40 while tables of 10 can be purchased for $500.  Fans interested in purchasing an AD/Head Coaches table can do so for $2,000.  Tickets for both events in advance by calling the Red Raider Club at (806) 742-1196 as tickets will not be sold at the door at either location.
