8 Big Country Girls Honored By TABC

That list is topped by Wylie star Peyton Little. Little led the Wylie Lady Bulldogs to their 3rd appearance in the State finals and 2nd straight State championship this year. Little is headed to Texas A&M to play her college basketball.
The Merkel Lady Badgers and Jim Ned Lady Indians add 3 players to the Class 2A list. Meagan O'Dell was the leading scorer on the Jim Ned team that advanced to the State Tournament in 2012. Merkel was ranked number 1 in the state for most of the season thanks to Chera Chaney and Allison Szabo.
2 Big Country players are on the Class A Div. II TABC team. Sierra Allen, from Highland, and Elizabeth, from Throckmorton, are both all-state this year.
Abilene Christian High School put 1 player on the small private school list. Mary Kate Rottenberry helped leadd the Lady Panthers to the 3rd round of the TAPPS playoffs. She is honored with a spot on the all-state team.
