McM's Curry Earns ASC Women's Tennis Honor

RICHARDSON, Texas - McMurry freshman Brandy Curry (Granbury, TX / Granbury HS) was named as the American Southwest Conference West Division women's tennis Player of the Week for the period of April 4-10, it was announced by the leagues office.
Curry guided ASC West Division team victories against Mary Hardin-Baylor and Howard Payne by prevailing at No. 4 and 5 singles, respectively, and No. 2 doubles.
Curry, who won 6-0, 6-0 against UMHB, teamed with Sonia Del Heirro in doubles. She also helped the War Hawks stay unbeaten in league play at 4-0.
On the year, Curry is 9-5 and has a four-match winning streak in singles.
