Big Country Faces Risk of Tornadoes this Weekend

The Big Country could see some tornado activity this weekend, but the Southern Plains are under high risk for life-threatening potential storms.

The Storm Prediction center is already gearing up for a busy Saturday, as a strong system has the potential to bring severe weather for the plains.

Ingredients for storms and severe weather are coming together, especially Saturday afternoon and through Sunday morning, with Oklahoma and Kansas under the highest risk.

The Big Country is included in the slight risk for severe weather. 




Saturday afternoon and overnight storms could bring hail, damaging winds and tornadoes.  Oklahoma and Kansas are under high risk to life threatening tornadoes. The Big Country is included in the risk for tornadoes




The time to set up severe weather plan is now.
