Eastland ISD Bus Driver, Monitor Won't Face Charges for Improper Relationship

By: Josh Berry
Updated: April 13, 2012
Charges will not be filed against two Eastland ISD employees for an improper relationship with a student, but they are no longer working for the district.

Surveillance video on a school bus showed a bus monitor receiving a hug and a kiss from a student.

Eastland County District Attorney Russ Thomason said an investigation did not find enough evidence to press charges.

The lead investigator and the DA decided that the employees committed no criminal wrongdoing.

The bus driver was fired after the incident, and the bus monitor resigned.
