Superintendent Dr. Randy Brown said the finalists are Stephen Hoffman of Del Rio; Brian Hulett of Eastland; Kyle Maxfield of Shallowater; and Aubrey Sims of Grandview.
Brown said he is very pleased with the quality of the finalists.
"These men are all proven winners, but most importantly they are men of character who truly care about the students they coach," he said. "The selection of the best candidate from this outstanding group will be difficult. Our tradition, schools and community attracted some great applicants."
The superintendent noted that 73 applications were received by Champions Search Firm.
The four finalists will be interviewed next week with the choice expected to be announced at a special school board meeting on April 23.
The four candidates will interview with Brown, SHS Principal Trig Overbo and Chief Financial Officer Dr. Randy Burks.
