Holland Medical Hosts 'Healthcare Olympics'

By: Marlisa Goldsmith
Updated: April 13, 2012
Holland Medical students were getting active today for the first annual St. Jude's Healthcare Olympics.

The students raised money to give to the needs of patients and families at St. Jude's.

In years past, Holland did a small academic challenge and this year decided to have their very own olympic games to incorporate some learning along with fun.

Holland is extremely proud of their students for raising more than they have in previous years.

"That is an amazing feat because we are almost at $1000 which is ten times more than we have ever raised before," says Holland Medical High teacher Kim Turnbull.

Ms. Turnbull says the event was such a success that the school plans on doing it again next year.
