Semi Avoids Collision, Loses Load from Trailer

By: Adam Singleton
Updated: April 13, 2012
A semi truck lost its cargo on the Winters Freeway this afternoon causing traffic to be diverted and slowed as officials cleared the debris.

It happened when a car cut off the path of the semi truck forcing the truck to hit the brakes in an attempt to avoid a collision.

The sudden stop caused a large cutting press to fall onto the road.

The machinery leaked a light hydraulic fluid which was quickly cleaned up by the fire department.

There were no citations issued.
