Authorities in Anson arrested a 20-year-old man Friday for allegedly raping an 88-year-old woman.

Taylor Dering is charged with aggravated sexual assault. Anson Police Chief David Moore said Dering knocked on the victim's door Friday afternoon and pushed her inside, where he allegedly raped her.

Dering was out on bond for an aggravated sexual assault of a child charge out of Panola County in East Texas. He was awaiting trial and wearing an ankle monitor for that charge.

Anson Police worked with the Panola County Sheriff's Office to track him down and were able to pinpoint him to the victim's address.

Dering is being held without bond at the Jones County Jail.
